MLC

The Maritime Safety Inspectorate (MSI) of the Maritime Administration of Latvia or the recognized classification societies carry out the audits on Latvian flag vessels for the compliance with MLC 2006 (Maritime Labour Convention, 2006) requirements in accordance with MLC 2006 and corresponding Latvian legislation requirements.

If the MSI receives a complaint or gain an evidence that a Latvian flag vessel do not comply with MLC 2006 requirements, MSI evaluates the complaint or evidence and takes action to rectify identified deficiencies.
